Unreleased Project - Skybox

These images are from an unreleased project that I had the pleasure of being Environment Art Lead for. They represent a targeted effort to delivery several flavors of alien skybox at quality to set a target for future work as well as to gain a better understanding of our desired workflows. I was chiefly responsible for the creation and implementation of these skyboxes under the art direction of Jedd Chevrier. These scenes were created in engine using a combination of lighting, layered texture work and custom blueprint assets to create flexible, re-arrangeable skyboxes. Depending on the end product goals the intent was to eventually bake down static portions of composition to panoramic skydomes, to save on performance costs, while leaving targeted elements in a dynamic state to message specific gameplay events.
