Wire Tool

These images and videos are from an unreleased project that I had the pleasure of being a Senior Technical Artist for. They represent a UE5 blueprint tool that allowed us to generate custom hanging and draped wiring/cabling within the context of a level. This allows artists to avoid the slower, more destructive process of working from an external DCC modeling tool. The wire tool uses an artist facing spline as a path to then trace down into the environment to figure out if it should be hanging or draped along static geometry within the scene. It has parametric options for number of wires, sizes, materials, draping behavior, noise and much more.
